BREAKING: Federal Environment Minister, Tanya Plibersek has approved a proposal by South32 that would see thousands of hectares of WA’s Jarrah forest, found nowhere else on Earth, destroyed for bauxite mining.

Will a $5.7 million upgrade to the Valley of the Giants Ancient Empire trail be put at risk by the outdated prescribed burning program that has already severely damaged the surrounding Tingle forest? With more burns set to happen this autumn, the tourism experience will be badly undermined.
