Well since you're stuck saying "I did" like a broken record, I just wanted to say that Sean Laraway your so called proof blocked me when I replied to you saying that he didn't provide much of it. Also apparently he isn't even in SAG-AFTRA, from what I've seen.

This is a tricky subject, with a lot of assumptions going on. But seeing how SAG-AFTRA has acted and also certain VA's it doesn't really fill me with much hope that they are doing this for a just and good reason. It's like they're using AI protections as a farce to conceal their true goal.

It's SAG-AFTRA, they look like a shady union from what I've seen. There's plenty to stand benefit from, especially since they haven't been that transparent.

Sure, if they do, do that then they deserve the backlash they would hopefully face, but again until then it's just assumption on assumption. Like I said, best case, Hoyo puts something about AI protection in the contracts when hiring VA's.

No, because they wouldn't be under US law, but rather under the laws of their country where they work from. I understand what you're saying. And with this I totally agree, AI is bad, and the push of companies using it is worrying. And I fully support VA's striking against that, and only that.

I understand, that would be tricky wouldn't it. The best Hoyo could do for everyone is just have AI protection laws in contract when contracting western VA's. But this is also assuming Hoyo would use AI-Voices without permission, where they would face backlash from consumers.

Why wouldn't they? If Hoyo used AI-voices of the VA's, Hoyo themselves would be in trouble with their government. I feel like people wouldn't let that slide. But what I feel, may not align with what might happen.

So there should be no issue, no? There is no reason to strike when there are already laws in place for this. Also, SAG-AFTRA as far as I know, also signed something with an AI-company too, didn't they?

From what I heard Hoyo legally cannot use the voices of VA's to make AI voices, unless they get permission from said VA I think? I'm not well versed on chinese law so excuse me if I'm not 100% correct on this.

Okay, so AI protections are important I agree, but if that was the only reason the VA's were striking everyone would still be on their side, but that's obviously no longer the case as we both know.
