The Giants are last in stolen bases. (Groundhog day) Why… why are the Giants so adverse to building around speed in a park where run creation can be an advantage? Has this been addressed at all by Melvin or Buster?

Watching the Jays this weekend is a real wake-up call to how lacking this roster construct is. They do everything better offensively.

The Giants seem to be sick of high K rates. And I say it’s about time. Throughout MLB it’s been historically high for a decade. High velocity is killing the game. It’s not changing until pitcher roster limits are decreased again. I see this as a zag, but a calculated one.

The Chauncey discourse is hilarious. I’m seeing smart people who are using his W/L record w/ a mostly tanking team against him. Yet, these are the same people throwing tantrums about too many wins this year. What % of the games he’s coached here would you say they’ve tried to win? Seems relevant.

Man, the eighties in the East was fun basketball. The fo fo fo 76ers, Celtics, bad boy Pistons. Bucks even had some deep squads. But even then, the East was top heavy.

Gobert was 5th in DPOY in his 2nd year. I think Clingan has all defense in him in the near future. Would love to see him in shape day 1 next and as importantly, given the runway.

Their numbers in Goberts 22 season vs Clingan’s 20 season are pretty close. Just some perspective. I think a C grade was kinda harsh.

Orlando has been grappling a bit with the fit of Franz and Paulo together. I have been on the Franz to Portland train and I’ve heard you mention him as a potential #1 for the Blazers if made available. What might a potential trade look like from the Portland side? I would think it would sting.

Also, Michael Malone and his ilk weren’t even giving Portland an interview. Some Blazers fans have lost their minds. He doesn’t like young players.. one of the reasons he’s not in Denver anymore.

I like the development and despite flaws I think Chauncey’s the right guy for right now. I like the direction. Now, that doesn’t mean a change won’t be in order down the road. That’s common for teams looking to take a more difficult step. It’s 3 years. Does anyone expects a title run in that span?
