Been saying this for quite some time.

Not sure why so many “experts” are banking on Arch being a one and done. History suggests otherwise.

Williams Jr. generates more EPA/Play and EPA/Pass than Sellers. He also has a higher Completion % and Explosive %.

Sellers does have a greater Success %, Yards/Completion and Yards/Rush.

But that’s some seriously excellent quarterbacking from Williams Jr. #AllAbouttheW

Again, using the Hudl IQ Player Comparison tool, we can see what QBs across the country Williams Jr. best resembles.

One notable name sticks out: South Carolina QB LaNorris Sellers. #AllAbouttheW
June 10, 2025 at 11:49 PM
In a limited, 274-play sample size, Williams Jr. generated:
0.11 EPA/Play
11.5 Yards/Completion
77.8% Completion Percentage
12.2% Explosive %

By comparison, primary starting QB Will Rogers generated:
0.05 EPA/Play
11.2 Yards/Completion
70.1% Completion Percentage
5.1% Explosive %

Williams Jr. is an extremely accurate passer, elite runner and is above average in a whole swath of data points compared to average Big 10 quarterbacks. #AllAbouttheW

But what does the data tell us?

Using the @hudliq.bsky.social Player Radar, we can see that Williams Jr. adds serious explosion and pop to the Huskies' offense, both with his arm and legs. #AllAbouttheW

Wingo
Yards/Rec - 17
Chunk % - 37.5%
Explosive % - 21.1%
Total targets: 55 targets

Williams
Yards/Rec - 18
Chunk % - 37.8%
Explosive % - 19%
Total targets: 86 targets

If Texas feeds Wingo more, he just might pop the hell off in 2025. #Longhorns

The good:
37% Chunk %
15.9 Yards/Rec
8.7 YAC/Rec
All significantly above average compared to other SEC receivers.

The not-so-good:
-0.01 EPA/Play
40% Receiving Success %
-5.4% Catch Rate Over Expected (CROE)
All significantly below average compared to other SEC receivers.

Wingo needs to do a better job of converting the targets he does get. But if he can find a way to keep getting open and start hauling in a higher percentage of his targets…watch out! #Longhorns
