Liberal democracy comes with a built-in paradox: the same freedoms that protect it can also weaken it. Not only did I disagree with Charlie Kirk, but I also LOATHED many of his positions. But he was still a human being, and killing him doesn’t just cross a moral line; it damages democracy itself.

Sometimes, the most compassionate thing you can do is confront someone with their own ignorance, arrogance, and stupidity. This isn't cruelty, it's a favor to them, the people in their lives, and the world.

I am hopeful that the veneration of ignorance under the guise of intellectual honesty, and the underlining intellectual nihilism, would only be a phase.

I've noticed that many in the "science is rigged" crowd flock to AI machines as a source of truth. Not only is this approach lazy, misleading, and stupefying, but it is also ironic and self-defeating because AI machines rely heavily on established sciences.

Whaddayaknow! As it turns out, much of the anti-woke crowd is as pushy, judgmental, reactionary, fragile, reductive, and "woke" about their own beliefs and grievances. I suppose, sometimes the fight is not about the whip but who holds it.

As with almost any other grievance, if so-called moderates fail to confront the predatory U.S. healthcare system with hard questions and meaningful reforms, the discourse and the people's grievances will inevitably be claimed by the radicals.
