I’ve passed the month we’re in 🤷🏻‍♂️

Crazy electricians that did some work when we bought our house did stuff without turning off breakers. I have a high fear of electrocution, so hard pass on that method for me.

Definitely the latter. Gotta pwn those devs 😉

I use Notes with a black background. Writing is a little glassy (better with Pencil 2), but the new handwriting cleanup is pretty sweet, and the ability to quickly erase and change colors is pretty nice, though I admittedly don’t change the colors that much when taking notes.

I’m curious about how this works compared to using an Apple Pencil on an iPad. I’ve enjoyed having the iPad. I realize it’s not the same, just curious if anyone has both.

There is this new thing called the cloud 😉😂

Cross country skiing seems to be making strides

I 100% agree with this. Frankly, my title isn’t a good title. My role is to help teams, not to decide things. I do spend some of my day (some more than others) actually writing code because I don’t want to lose that.

This is so true. I find that, while I often can do good enough on my own, I write much better code when working with someone.

I was surprised to see Kendra suddenly being talked about again. Figured that one was headed for the chopping block but I guess AI saved it.

I don’t think this service will have this problem, but the past several months have given me great pause about using new services. I used to be able to jump in confident it was at least not going away. Can’t say that anymore.
December 6, 2024 at 1:47 AM
I agree. This is one I’ll keep a close eye on, and maybe play with, it not one I’m likely to jump into. I can’t say I really need it, tbh.

It will be interesting to see how things change with time. I expect it to be less of an issue as they add more functionality.

The lack of relational features scares me a bit. Using something like DynamoDB doesn’t come with some of the expectations of a relational database. Something that looks like Postgres but isn’t may lead to decisions that don’t work like you expect (if they work at all).

Guess not, since it closes at noon today

I think we should all work together to make reservations at all the restaurants in the Venetian for that week. Maybe we can at least make it really expensive for the vendors to take all the spots.
