i am exactly the same way, i've read every book i own, and with some of them that was an incredibly stressful experience cuz i tend to buy pretty low grade lol.

yeah i have been trying to get all the major pieces of the symbiote story, i've got most of it, secret wars 8, asm 252, 299 300 and 301, but for some reason 298 just ducks me. thats a fantastic run you've got there :)

Yeah i work in a restaurant so i too am quite poor, once upon a time i was sure i'd get it some how, i'd just have to plan, but that was back when a lower mid grade copy was like 2k, a lot, but achievable with time and effort. then during the pandemic the same grade was going for like 22k :(

i'm the same way with uncanny x-men, i think i'm down to 23 issues needed all below 90, and most of those are either in the reprint run, or is a major first appearance lol. #1 will likely forever be out of my reach though.

which issues are you looking for? i have a few random low grade original run issues i'd probably be ok parting with, has never been a primary collection for me but i pick em up when i can get a good deal on em.

thats so awesome, yeah i had a few different books i would have loved to have gotten signed, but could only afford to get one signed so i had to make some tough decisions.

the only one i've ever really thought of getting slabbed was my uncanny x-men 4 that i got signed by stan lee, not for value reasons but cuz it was pretty low grade to start with and if something happens to it for obvious reasons i can't replace it.

I still don't get stuff slabbed, i know long term it's probably a bad call but i just like being able to open up any of the books i have.
