Representing injured bicyclists statewide and helping make our streets safer for everyone.

These are interesting times for the rule of law, but we are trying to "stay in our own lane" and limit comments to bikes.

@bikeleague.org tells us that USDOT now claims that Bike lanes are "hostile" to cars & “no longer in the public interest”

Seeing this image from VisionZeroNetwork.org made me wonder if it was the street I rode into to work on this morning.

It's not, it's from Ohio. Does it look too familiar to you?

We can do better than this... safer streets help everyone!

Should transportation planning prioritize safety over political statements?

Yes.

AND… cutting funding while making statements about rainbow crosswalks rather than the lack of marked crosswalks and other safety infrastructure is not the way to do that.

I noticed that too. Mayor Harrell is missing the essence of Vision Zero.

The most effective way to increase safety is to eliminate dangers, not by using administrative controls like policing. We need safer infrastructure.

Oh Seattle bike people, Sunday, 3-30-25 FREE alleycat race.

The route is secret until the event and riders navigate their own paths. It's a bit like a bike messenger job. There will be checkpoints and challenges based on non-bike-related talent and luck.

Good bicycling infrastructure keeps everyone moving safely... but not all infrastructure is good. Momentum Magazine just compiled some crazy examples across the planet momentummag.com/worst-bike-l...

Certain Seattle businesses have funded decades of litigation using a law designed to protect the environment against it, resulting in the "Missing Link" of the Burke-Gilman Trail.

Click below & sign in PRO on HB 1814 to exempt trail extensions like this from SEPA.

Exactly! Which is why we need this to become law.
