i think that was the 2 hinges at the base of the tower where it folds. they are similar to gate hinges. hey fred - mike n6imy

Our GOTA stations were very popular. One of our young guests liked it so much (working FT8) last night that he came back again this morning to try phone mode on HF. You might actually have heard him, too.

It’s an irrigation valve. Pressing the handle on the blowgun nozzle releases the pressure inside the valve, which then opens to release the air in the pressure canister.
