Say what you like about trump, but he is a master at creating the them and us scenario. In a two party state you're either with us or against us and trump presented that in a wonderfully simplistic way. The Democrats presented it in a muddied, everyone is right everyone is wrong way.

Annoyingly, trump had clearly picked a side months ago yet Europe stuck their heads in the sand and hoped the American electorate would do an awkward job for them.

So I had the exact same thing. I said I had booked a holiday and it was the only time I could go since I was a teacher. They let me off.

I get it, but privatisation absolutely did work. It made a tiny minority of people incredibly wealthy while guaranteeing that wealth for decades to come. We need to stop thinking that any of this was for the benefit of the tiny person.

We need to remember that he doesn't care. We are not his target audience.
As long as the voice of those he did target becomes just a few decibels louder then he will consider that a huge success. This is a 4 year game and we're already pinned down on our own goal line.

I watched this interview and he made an interesting point. We are now relying on the Trump faithful to turn on Musk as this will be the only way he will disappear. The enemy of my enemy is my friend.
