Make him meet the families- smell the bloated bodies... do the "warrior" stuff like our troops often had to do in Afghanistan and Iraq. War is easy from an office, a HQ, or a HMMWV zooming down the road.

For the sake of the surface argument - sure. But fundamentalists just work with what they have. The proximate problem is fundamentalists. The underlying problem is strange and potentially toxic/problematic thinking about the nature of reality.

Remember this guy stayed on because he has the trust of the self-declared "secretary o' wars" and thus loyalty to Trump. Loyalty to Trump is the requirement; it is the litmus test for remaining on board and advancing to senior roles in this administration.
