To be a Negro in this country and to be relatively conscious is to be in a state of rage almost, almost all of the time — and in one's work. ~ James Baldwin
That's been my concern this entire time.

Couldn't have said it better myself.

Also unless you're working for a federal contractor then affirmative action policies shouldn't be the norm and if you are then they should have been enacted a long time ago. If you're DEI policies are recent then yeah someone made a choice and that has nothing to do with the government.
September 17, 2025 at 4:40 PM
If that's the case then guess what? You're problem still isn't DEI it's someone over you making decisions that puts everyone's health at RISK. You're so close to getting it, that it hurts. STOP LOOKING SIDEWAYS AND LOOK UP AT THE PEOPLE MAKING THESE DECISIONS!!!
September 17, 2025 at 4:31 PM
want to hire more. So someone somewhere in your organization thinks that throwing bodies at a problem will solve the issue. That person is incompetent and yet this still has NOTHING to do with DEI. Again it's likely someone white in this position of power that doesn't care about their workers.
September 17, 2025 at 4:31 PM
So you're saying that for your job that discrimination is necessary. But what you're failing at grasping is that most businesses aren't yours. What you're also failing at grasping is that hiring standards don't need to be lowered to hire a broader pool of people. They just need to be lowered if you

Also correct me if I'm wrong but it doesn't exactly sound like you need a degree to do your work. It seem blue collar which would require a different set of standards than most jobs. That would be up to the hiring team to figure that out.
September 17, 2025 at 3:21 PM
I read your post wrong I thought you meant work quotas. At any rate my point still stands you're blaming the wrong people. It's not DEI that's making things difficult, it's the hiring managers that need to do a better job in screening.
September 17, 2025 at 3:21 PM
Union job or no you got screwed end of story. You don't know who you should be blaming. Start with the person who made quotas a necessity. Again this has nothing to do with DEI. The higher-ups didn't care about you and hung you all out to dry. Stop looking around and look up. There's your target.
September 17, 2025 at 1:03 AM
Is labor intensive, the only people that screwed up was HR their incompetence led to a lose in productivity. Because I'm sure there were plenty of skilled non-white candidates who could do the job but they just didn't hire them for whatever reason. Don't blame DEI, blame HR.
September 16, 2025 at 10:57 PM
It is the definition of anecdotal it's your lived experience that isn't indicative of the whole. And again you're blaming policies that had nothing with the quotas. Outcomes do matter and outside of your experiences most businesses thrive with a diverse work force. But the problem was that your job
September 16, 2025 at 10:57 PM
So you're using your anecdotal evidence against proven facts. Meanwhile, instead of blaming the bosses who were probably pocketing the money they made for hiring less qualified people probably at lower rates you use DEI as the scapegoat. Am I...am I getting that right?
September 16, 2025 at 10:28 PM
Riiggggghhhtttt. That still doesn't change the Statista report. Or the fact that most mass/school shootings are perpetrated by white men. I didn't say anything about gun control groups or how many occurred. I'm just stating the obvious. Cry all you want the facts don't care about your feelings.
September 16, 2025 at 10:14 PM
What?!?! Is this a bot? 84% of mass shooters have been white, what perceived outcome are you talking about?
September 16, 2025 at 9:28 PM
I'm not avoiding the question you built a straw man based on physical performance that has nothing to do with what we're actually talking about. It's a ridiculous premise but sure I'll bite: The outcomes wouldn't be the same. Congratulations I guess? You really owned me on that one.
September 16, 2025 at 9:27 PM
Also you're comparing apples to oranges last I checked most businesses didn't need to worry about the athletic fitness of their employees. Nice straw man argument though.
