Head of the Dep. of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery of the University Hospital Cologne, Germany. Passionate about DBS for movement, psychiatric and cognitive disorders.
Today we did the first DBS with the SUSy frame (Inomed). Very light, several advantages, BUT, the coordinate system is peculiar. Instead of the zero in the middle (CRW), or at the upper right corner (Leksell), it is at the upper left corner, except for the arc, there the zero is at the right side 🤯

This week we enjoyed an incredible, highly inspirational @bostonscientific.bsky.social Master’s Debate with many DBS experts from all over the world. So good to see many friends and colleagues again!
