Great experience to have had a PhD seminar at the @helsinki.fi Main Building and at the same time when president #Zelenskyi was having the hotline open to the Oval Office from another room. I bet we had better discussions on @eliskarell.bsky.social's paper on #AI, #bigtech and #sustainability!

…simple: they know they can’t control it. Experienced investigative journalists and editors-in-chief can’t usually be bought, which is why Trump has attacked “left-leaning” media since 2015. The goal is to remove its legitimacy but also decrease its influence.

It’s ironic that the country that underfunded public service media for decades, because of unwarranted fears of a government funding and media nexus, ends up having one of the strongest state media platforms with a direct link between the white house and X.
