This is the kind of addition/expansion of canon that I'll be weaving into my Missed
Connections fic.

it corrects Radcliffe's mistake, it punishes the two criminals, and it tips the scales back in the direction of "good beating evil". In his eyes it's even more justified. (🪡🧵 9/9)

He was brought back because he was also a good asset. "Too good to waste."
So Cecil then killing Knucklebuster and Force Fist does several things: (🪡🧵 8/9)

After all, he's not allowed to damage government property, so he largely carries on and just throws himself into work and does the most good he can.
But then when he finds out Knucklebuster and Force Fist are alive? Well that means Cecil wasn't just brought back because he's a good agent. (🪡🧵 7/9)

He's "back" because he's a good agent who can do more good, yes, but his skin is largely artificially made by the government.

He thinks of himself in a very literal sense as
"government property" and as such his depression would take a high functioning direction. (🪡🧵 6/9)

Assuming Cecil put together that he was resuscitated in addition to being pieced back together, his psychology on the situation evolves. (🪡🧵 5/9)

I think Radcliffe ordered it so all three of them were revived and given artificial skin. Why them and not any of the civilians?
Well, as Radcliffe said to Cecil about Knucklebuster and Force Fist,
"-but, they were also too good to waste. So, I fixed them." (🪡🧵 4/9)

I think Knucklebuster and Force Fist, being closed in a small space with a high density of the corrosive gas, didn't have visible scarring because all of their skin had to be replaced with artificial skin. (🪡🧵 3/9)

I think Cecil definitely medically died at least once during the gas incident, adding to his survivor's guilt.
Cecil, Knucklebuster, and Force Fist were all at the center of the gas release. No way that they lived when seventeen people in the market outside didn't. (🪡🧵 2/9)

my only regret is that I defaulted to the outfit he wore in the scenes we saw— when he likely had various outfits for when he was under cover— i just worry that the outfits i pick will look out of character (even tho he’d be pretending to be someone else)
