“Is that a fox?” she asked. I nodded. “Yes,” I replied. “I’ve been a fan of foxes all my life.” Her face lit up with a big smile and bounced in her seat with glee.

I truly made her happy, just by being myself.

What makes me happy is making other people happy. Today, I was driving to an appointment during morning rush hour and stopped at a traffic light. Another car pulled up beside me, and a young Asian woman rolled down her window and pointed at a graphic I’d had installed on my car.
