Aucklander. Loves exploring and writing about Auckland City - Tāmaki Makaurau. There's so many cool dormant volcanos, odd buildings, and history here. Expect a few posts about music and cycling too.

Auckland Baptist Tabernacle, Queen Street - An ancient temple in the centre of Auckland City. When it was built in 1885 you could see its giant Roman columns all the way from the Waitemata harbour. It's an extraordinary building for a city in the Pacific. #auckland #queenstreet

The Guardian Building, Queen Street is an imposing slice of early 20th Century Chicago in the center of Auckland. It was built during the First World War and has a real stern dignity to it. #auckland #queenstreet #newzealand

Many Aucklanders may not even know that Bacon's Lane exists, but it's one of the city's most storied streets. Here's a wee article I wrote about it.

Does anybody else get spooked out by this weird Auckland building? I wrote an article about Queen Street's mysterious Landmark House.
