I believe it's just to say it works with the game's eye colour system, rather than being an eye texture that just locks the colours and does its own thing?

I mess around alot with making the same character again but in the different races, I did that before even back when I was an Elezen, but I decided I sort of like the concept and with the lore background I had decided upon for her I thought maybe that's cool.
