As much as I want to keep up/keep in-touch with these contacts, it also does affect me when I see bad news in the same space where I’m trying to find potential work, new clients, inspiration, and hope. So I think it’s time for me to get back to the ol’ personal google doc

But what I’ve done in the past (and I think I might just go back to doing) is create my own list of contacts, art directors, publishers, etc., in a private Google Doc. I used to have a Word and used that for my list (until the entire Microsoft Office suite became subscription based sigh.)

I get the same experience going on LinkedIn these days, and it’s always a double-whammy going on that site in general because it’s just a reminder of the impermanence of our jobs, bad economy news, blah blah blah and everything ; w ;
