Probably not, but the odds are that mortality will arrive before morality. Not to mention self awareness: Imagine the nerve of the Iranian regime's killing peaceful protesters! We must put a stop to THAT!

African green monkeys are the "Yogi Bears" of the primate world. They love all the delights that humans scatter around their environments. And they are not shy about grabbing a tasty treat.

Sure, I still remember my HS English teacher's warning as we went off to uni about learning more & more about less & less. I see now that he also was encouraging us to fight it (a little). Luckily, one of our grad faculty repeated: "If your only tool is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail!"

This is a short, 2-page summary of the major issues; but has nice set of recent references. Basic argument: it is not so much the temperature that is a problem as the instability which affects behavior, food production, disease transmission, mortality, and the foundations of modern civilization!

"Modern human civilisation has been facilitated by the remarkably stable climatic conditions of the Holocene: the past 11 000 years during which century-to-century global average temperatures varied by no more than 1°C. ...This stable period has ended abruptly...."

it seems that it is not as easy as they think to brainwash kids. The thing they are so worried the other side will do. Saw this with kids coming to Uni after creationist "schooling" confronting our evolution materials. Typical response: "Oh, is that all?"

But lowest in our Brave Little State. Still, in the grocery store today, way more than 75 people and we saw no more than 3 other people with masks. Low density helps a little.
