You could see it in the players too. It looks like they excel in that blitz heavy defense where the back end guys can take some risks jumping routes and just play fast. Bowles shoots himself in the foot every week and never learns.

Yeah. Given our draft position in a relatively weak 1st/2nd rd class, they did everything they reasonably could this offseason to try and fix the edge issue. Reddick may be a short term fix but we needed something.

Good news is we signed a couple vets for our off-ball linebacker spot which was a problem last year, especially when Dennis was hurt. I think we'll be fine there. The bigger issue will be if we can find a pulse from our edge rushers.

The age doesn't bother me much in this situation. We need pass rush help and our draft position the past 5 or so seasons makes it difficult to address that. Take a guy like him who likely would've been higher up on boards if he were younger.

The positive here is that he is unlikely to get a HC gig after 1 year.
