Yesterday, I got to sit down with two people who helped shape my life—one of them being my former assistant principal.
It hit me all over again: this is what great educators and school staff do. They see you when life gets messy. They push you to believe in yourself when the world says otherwise.

Respect for every hand that builds, teaches, and serves.
Especially those teaching and serving in our schools and district offices.
I’ll carry that respect with me as your School Board candidate.

Big forum last night. Tremendous turnout. Everyone was there — except Judi New and Sarah Corona. Total no-show! Very sad! People asked, ‘Where are they?’ Nobody knows. But don’t worry, I was there, standing strong, talking about our schools. Huge energy. The best!

I stood strong at last night’s forum in the belief that our teachers and staff are doing so much with so little. Polk County deserves leaders who will fight to make sure they have the resources and support they need — and I’ll keep showing up to do just that.

My heart goes out to every displaced staff member and family affected by this change. What concerns me most is that the school choice enrollment window has already closed, and Polk Virtual School families deserve the opportunity to choose a school that meets their child’s needs.
