Not especially a fan of his advocacy, but Paul Cassell <paul.cassell@law.utah.edu> is one of the legal godfathers of the victim's rights movement. I imagine he might know someone.

I have my own blind spots about human nature big enough to drive a truck through -- e.g., I can't really explain how there are Trump supporters I'm still convinced are decent, compassionate human beings -- but Marc is someone who struck me from day one as a nasty narcissistic prick.

Orin gets into it below. His somewhat conjectural take -- since DHS offers no legal support for its opinion, Orin has to speculatively steel man it -- is that the entry is probably unconstitutional, but SCOTUS has probably neutered any remedy.

My recurring "I haven't done a whole semester of calculus homework and the final is in 20 minutes" nightmare is slowly being replaced with "I awaken in a cold sweat because I don't get another Popehat reference" nightmare.

What makes you think this would make him *believe* supporting Trump was an error? He is and always has been more anti-mainstream liberal -- and now anti-anti-Trump -- than he is anti-war.

Don't pretend you care about free speech if you have a problem with me sitting next to you in a nearly empty theater, eating your popcorn, asking you to explain every plot twist, and when you finally lose your shit and shout fire, demanding you be prosecuted.

A lot of ways I'd describe Clark. Libertarian ain't one of them. I doubt even the paleos would claim him. Didn't he call himself a neo-royalist or some such?

Of course you don't want a psycho in command of the nuclear codes, but that's not my main objection to Trump. My beef is he's a repulsive soulless shit stain of an excuse for a human being.

Elsewhere you called the casual antisemitism in these replies sad. Were it merely ignorant, I'd agree. But it's not. It's also arrogant and belligerent. That makes me furious.

Meanwhile on the other site they're running similar exposes on remote rage-baiting anti-Israel accounts, which you wouldn't think would be needed to augment actual reports. Anyway, the point is this phenomenon appears pretty bi (multi?) partisan, with every camp telling the story from its own silo.
