Grilling brats & chicken sausages for lunch on a random Tuesday instead of another sad desk salad. Some WFH perks are just priceless.

For a long time, I stayed quiet because I believed I didn’t have anything worth sharing.

And even if I did, no one would listen.

I didn’t lack ideas.
I lacked conviction.

If that sounds familiar, you’re not alone. 🧵 👇🏾

Fire alarm.
Burst sprinkler.
Fire department on site.

All as worship began at church.

Not ideal conditions to preach and keep people's attention.

Resilience isn’t built in calm moments.
It’s revealed under disruption.

How was your Sunday morning?

One of my first leadership teachers was Martin Luther King Jr.

Before I understood policy or leadership theory, I noticed something simpler and harder at a young age. 🧵👇🏾

Faith is eroded through habits, not rebellion.

Jesus lived differently. His life was structured.
Prayer. Withdrawal. Teaching. Rest.

If you want different fruit, examine the soil.
What do your days actually train you to become?

Leaders don't carry everything forever.
It means they model ownership before distributing responsibility.

Good shepherds stand between danger & the flock.
They don’t point from a distance.

If your team hesitates to take responsibility, ask:
Have they seen you go first?

I’m learning something uncomfortable in real time.

Growth doesn’t just require adding.
It requires letting go.

I used to think building meant stacking more on top of what already worked.

More ideas.
More offers.
More responsibilities.
More “just push through this season.”

Hard truth for creators and business owners:

That follower count isn’t yours.
The algorithm owns it. 🧵

Black Friday = inbox chaos.🔥

Everyone's selling.
Everyone's loud.
And yet… people are still ready to spend.

As a business owner, you've got to be present to win.

But being present doesn’t mean adding to the noise. 🧵👇🏾

The older I get, the more I realize this:

Gratitude will grow you in ways talent never will.

And this Thanksgiving, I felt that truth in my bones.

This one Sunday reminded me why I do what I do.

After nearly a month on sabbatical, I stepped back into the pulpit and instantly felt alive again.

The smiles.
The hugs.
The handshakes.
The “we missed you, Pastor.”

I needed the rest… but preaching reminded me: 🧵👇🏾

You can’t plan your next level with last season’s noise.

Most people react to a new year.
Few prepare for it.

I’m spending this week in nature mapping out 2026.

Not chasing busywork, but building strategy around purpose.

Big things are coming because I’m planning on purpose.

This one mindset shift will change how you show up at work forever.

God isn’t just found in your quiet time.
He wants to shape your calendar, your conversations, and your client calls.

What do you do when success stops feeling like success?

For me, it meant listening to the quiet pull toward purpose.

Cybersecurity sharpened my skills.
Writing reawakened my calling.

Now I use my words to help Kingdom-minded founders grow what matters.

This morning, I traded emails for coffee & time with my favorite person.

After a couple crazy weeks, my wife and I slowed down for a simple breakfast.

No agenda. Just gratitude, laughter, and presence.

To lead well you’ve got to love well first.

You can’t lead others if you won’t lead yourself.

I kept pushing my team to be more focused then realized I was more than a little scattered myself.

Leadership isn’t taught.
It’s caught.

If your team’s off rhythm,
check your own.

Lead yourself well & everything else follows.

It’s been a long day of back-to-back meetings.

I reached into my jacket pocket for a pen and instead found a card one of the kids at church gave me weeks ago.

Front: Romans 8:28
Inside: “Be encouraged.”

Forgot it was there but God knew I’d need it today.

Babysitting this 20-pounder today.

First time doing a full packer brisket for an event.

I’ve smoked brisket before… but never one this size with this much pressure. 😅

Pray for steady temps and a clean slice.

Do I look like a Fawn?

Apparently, we live in a culture where asking for clarity feels offensive… so now I’m a woodland creature with a latte. 🦌☕
September 25, 2025 at 6:33 PM
Then I remembered: this moment isn’t about me. It’s about serving the couple God brought together.

And when I leaned into my calling, everything flowed. The ceremony went off beautifully.

I’ve officiated plenty of weddings.
But this weekend, at my brother’s wedding, I was nervous.

Old college friends filled the room. We all knew each other well once upon a time but they don't know the pastor and leader I’ve become.

Standing there, I felt the weight of fear.

“Selling feels icky.”

That’s what I hear from Christian coaches, consultants & creators all the time.

And it’s not because they fear rejection…
They fear compromising their integrity.

👉🏾 Let’s talk about it.

Finally decided to stop putting off cleaning my desk.

Crazy how a clear desk = a clearer mind.

Ready to take on this month. 🗂️

One quote I keep returning to:
“Be impeccable with your word.” – Don Miguel Ruiz

From The Four Agreements, one of my favorite books.

It’s not just good advice, it’s a way of life.
I try to live it daily through openness, transparency, and authenticity.

5 things we knew as kids, but forgot as soon as we became adults:

1. Recess is essential.
2. Life’s better with snacks (Jesus fed the 5,000 for a reason).
3. “I don’t know” is a valid answer.
4. Creativity > perfection.
5. Laughter is the best medicine.

What would you add?
