Consider the pace of change to match the growth of a child. It will take a long time, and an effort to make it grow too quickly is bound to backfire. Nurture your community like you would a child. Love them, play with them, feed them, tend to their pain. Forgive them. Work from the bottom up.

I read somewhere that actions arise from one of only two base feelings, fear or love. I’m still mulling it over but it makes me wonder also about the utility of cynicism. I haven’t landed on any conclusions.
