It's hard, especially for parents, to understand that while social media gives horrible people a platform, it also gives easy access to important/vital resources.

if I had known that melting plastic/faulty electronics caused a fishy smell, I would've located it much faster and would've massively decreased the risk of a fire. I'm grateful I searched for information, but I'm horrified by how easily I dismissed it as something else

story: for the last few days I've smelled a fishy smell in my bedroom. I have 4 cats though and I had eaten tuna recently, so I dismissed it as either the cats hiding something, or tuna that I had accidentally disposed of poorly
