Tbh, I’m following the age-old montra of “no body, no death”.

–They dropped any meaningful conversation about it after Adam was killed because they recognized they handled it poorly. To be clear, I respect their decision to do that, but that does not mean their story they had originally planned was concluded during V6.

Regardless of the semantics between them “Abandoning” or “concluding” it, characterizing it as “solving racism forever” is completely disingenuous. That’s not the point of stories on systemic racism. Also, you’re just wrong. Miles said himself at C2E2 that the plan was tackle those issues in RWBY.–

–I feel there have been so many changes to the lore as the series progressed that I don’t know how possible it could be. It’s something I’ve loosely thought about when I considered my own page one-style reboot. Imo I feel even if you start in the same place, it’ll end up diverging drastically.🤷🏽‍♂️

I 100% agree with your points here. I’m personally willing to be more charitable with V1-3 given their limited experience/budget/etc at the time (+nostalgia), but I can’t deny a lot of later volume’s problems are rooted there. Though, while I agree a reboot with minimal changes would be welcome,–

How can you say the writing is too smart for some when so much of the series relies on you turning off your brain to enjoy, or when key info isn’t exposited in the text/selectively-ignored (not to mention things like the Faunas oppression plot that they publicly abandoned for executing poorly)?
