Because Radharani is supreme, it's easy to forget that Her true concerns are as a mother. We are Her soft heart. When we hurt each other, we hurt Her. When we are kind, we please Her.

Discomfort forces us to grow. It's easy to point to other people or external situations as the source of our suffering. Blame only obscures the lesson we're meant to learn. Distress reveals where we haven't surrendered to God's will. It's His way of saying, "this is where you have work to do."

Aligning ourselves to Krsna's will is a joyous journey. It requires aligning our thoughts to His will. It's not easy. A mind can change a bazillion times a second. But, it can be done through fastidious control. Liberation is the reward. Every thought aligned to God's will is a step closer to Him.

Because devotional life promises honest, forever love, it asks for sacrifice. The hours of focused meditation, service, & austerity are perpetual balancing acts. The trick,(for me,) is to remember to act with love. If the sacrifice is work, not devotion, the promise is meaningless.
