Fit check after 1 ball of the light worsted yarn for stockinette portion - happy with the fit! Debating whether to go
1) peplum in the same crochet stitch as yoke
2) more stockinette + 1 or 2 rows of crochet yoke stitch at hemline
3) more stockinette + 1x1 rib to match neckline

Made this top over a year ago - I've worn it over dresses but finally got the courage to wear it as an actual crop top, for ballroom dance class 🎶💃 #crochet 🧶 yarn and chart in replies.

I didn't really have a pattern, but here is a chart for the crochet part. The knitted part is just plain stockinette with a few rows of 2x2 rib at the bottom.

Accidentally left my sweater WIP at my mom's, so I started a new WIP with the yarn I dyed myself. Reminds me of azaleas. Stitch repeat is from "A New Crochet Stitch Dictionary" by Nele Braas and Eveline Hetty-Burkart #crochet 🧶

I have not gotten enough crochet done in the last 2 weeks! Tornadoes, allergies, and doctors appointments, oh my! 😵💫. One of the reasons was happy, though: meet Rosie, who joined our family on Saturday. She is 5 years old and already fitting right in!

Yarns is premier puzzle cotton for the knitted portion and Eddie Bauer adventurer cotton for the crochet yoke. Here is a hastily drawn chart for the yoke stitch repeat:

And she's done! I got pretty comfortable with knit and purl, definitely still have some work to do on fitting (I didn't mean to make it so loose 😆) Also, I think I went with too much of a disparity between yarn weights - a bit lighter for the knitted portion would be better. #crochet #knit 🧶
