interested in reading this just from the description of this contraption but unfortunately there doesn't seem to be an english translation for it. I did find an illustration of Malacovia from a random forum though

Did not enjoy The Hidden Life of Trees. I went into it blind and had no idea about the scientific criticism directed at it, but even a layperson like myself got tired of the over the top anthropomorphizing and felt it did a disservice to the actual interesting things I was learning

trying out a jp search engine. curiously, the first time I did a search for a verse from classic poetry it ranked results from blogs directly quoting it quite high, but doing the same search hours later gives me more links to linguistics sites instead 🤔

I *think* I've gotten all the BGMs. Even two "secret" tracks which were played on the old landing page; they didn't bother with deleting the mp3s when they scrubbed it, I guess

realized I forgot to post them here! I've been busy clearing out the basement and found some old magazines of PC Gamer - the cool bits of microfiction they used to put in the last page of every issue were really nice

Finally got around to setting up foobar how I've been using it for the past year or so (just a radio-streaming player). only gripe is I can't figure out how to rename station feeds and a few of them you can't tell what they are just from the URLs 🤔

Been walking the local trails a bit this summer - great scenery, quite a few woodpeckers in the morning doing their thing (not seen but certainly heard!)
