I feel that when I first got a MacBook Air back in 2013 it was really jarring, but now it’s second nature, I’m sure you’ll get used to it in time. Especially with windows trying to mimic the dock now with the centred start bar

M series? I got a m2 a while back and couldn’t be happier with it, always found windows laptops a bit of a minefield
