I look forward to demoing and playing *Order & Opportunity Making of the Post-Cold War World Order* upcoming from @gmtgames.bsky.social at the @armchairdragoons.bsky.social online convention in January next year. The plan is to actually not just demo but play up to a full game with interested folks.

Two games of Root, both times I came in last as the Keepers vs the Alliance and the Hundreds defeated by 11 and 15 points (!), respectively - I don‘t see how the Keepers could ever win, ideas? Also, playtesting Order & Opportunity (GMT Games P500).

Working on some card design ideas for Order & Opportunity upcoming from @gmtgames.bsky.social. I‘ve tried software like Nan Deck but always seem to come back to LibreOffice because of speed of iteration even if the looks might suffer. Not ideal stil. What softa does everyone use for making cards?

In ABB I tried conveying this sort of „how to“ info by way graphics. I never received much feedback on this at all except one person who said you already needed to understand the game in order for the graphic to be helpful. The same might apply to text, ultimately.

Another day, another playtest of Order & Opportunity (GMT Games). This time playing 2-players with two bots in the mix as well. The US prevails through a careful management of world events as well as polarization and terror threats at home - and some help from the Putin bot dealing with the Taliban!

Had a very good playtest of Order & Opportunity with Joe B today (not Biden). Joe‘s authoritarian bloc won as the EU failed to deal with the Brexit talks in time and the Russia Today state propaganda from Joe relentlessly bore down on the global perception of the US commitment to rules based order.

Had a very good playtest of Order & Opportunity with Joe B today (not Biden). Joe‘s authoritarian bloc won as the EU failed to deal with the Brexit talks in time and the Russia Today state propaganda from Joe relentlessly bore down on the global perception of the US commitment to rules based order.
A proud dad moment: my daughter’s (10) cats beating dad’s birds pretty comprehensively in 2-p Root (@colewehrle.bsky.social). Using some PnP hirelings while waiting for the German language ones from @ulible.bsky.social. Proud dad moment two: now they play co-op Paleo with her 13 yr old brother.

Unfortunately, it has not been possible to demo my game Order & Opportunity (GMT Games) at Essen 2023. However, I am at the convention and have a prototype copy that I can give it away to anyone interested tomorrow (Friday, 6 Oct 2023). Do let me know if there is interest.
