Agreed, I think the culpability is more the point I’m trying to make. If another manager comes in they will have the same problems with the players they have.

Before sacking Slot FSG should sack the recruitment team, Hughes and Co. they are the reason for the team’s lack of balance . They spent half a billion and destroyed the team. …we made fun of Arsenal for buying loads of CB…well we went and did the same with attacking players.

Fully agree. They spent half a billion in the summer and made a title winning team worse. Both slot and recruitment are responsible, but if I have to pick one then that’s Hughes before everyone else.

Not sure I would trust these guys with spending more money…I’d let them figure it out the hard way. Make it work with what you now have, if needed fill the gaps with some academy players. If they show progress then we can start spending again.sorry but I can’t stomach this summer’s spending.

Great content, especially on the recruitment.Recruitment staff and manager are responsible here,I can’t imagine one worked independently of the other.if they did,then they are equally responsible.I wouldn’t trust Hughes or Slot moving forward especially having spent 450M on players we did not need.

Thanks for the reply Mo. indeed the passing element is the key missing. We can add a passer next to him or a new DM who can do both and allow Grav to flourish as an 8? There’s no one solution…but building from the back is the biggest problem.

This never gets old: a DM that can build from the back and help the back line with some good defensive work especially dealing with 2nd balls. Grav was never a DM, and it seems it’s catching up with us this season. After a DM a backup CB.

They recruited good players, it seems more and more likely that they did not have a plan on how to use them. That’s on Hughes and Slot together…in the past Liverpool recruited players that fit their system, it seems this year they bought players and trying to figure out what system to use…
