I don't agree with every word of this post but this on choice between embodied experience and abstract hackery is on point. Note my use of "boundary" abstraction can be enlightening just don't conflate it.

Man resents being taken out of process of production not in the Modern Times factory sense but in the discovering producing sense —and intriguingly he/she becomes more "productive" more is compelled into mechanistic review discipline
