Ultimately, it is the choice to be an active participant in the world. I need that kind of internal locus of control. I need to know that I can have some small dent in making the world a brighter place. Yes, some dumb contraption that makes someone smile definitely qualifies.

I've come to the conclusion that the strongest push I can make against the new political reality is to demonstrate my values in everything I can do. This is doubly true for making and creating. The world needs that light even more when it is dark outside.
