Saw this at Tesco Leith. Glad their defibrillator is free though I'm not sure how they'd ever be able to go about charging for it.
Rifle through the guys pockets for a credit card and clubcard while doing CPR?

I'm in Blackpool for rollercoastering with my 7 year old. Seen here contemplating the Big One after arriving at the hotel today. He wants to go upside down.
Ooft.
Tomorrow we ride.

Record Store Day in Edinburgh is almost here! We have so much stock that we've opened a new shop in St Vincent's Chapel. Open from 0800. Live music and bar from 1100.

Child friendly. Bring them to the front. Come say hi. Have fun. #rsduk

Here is a link to our Record Store Day event on Sat 12th April. It's all about the people that make the records. We have 11 over the day.
More info to be added soon. Let us know if you're coming and give a share if you like.
It's free as always.

Some interesting singles. Some only for the song label or the track name.

Almost all my free time in recent months has been spent researching a collection of 5000 US funk and soul records.

It's been both tedious and joyful.
This box took 5 hours to price up over last weekend.

But phew... it's now done!

Public Enemy released a masterpiece of sampled music in 1990.

Never bettered even by themselves.

Hip-hop has relied heavily on samples for decades and sells by the tonne.

AI has the potential to create a beautiful or terrible chimera of music.

Paying original creators will be harder than ever.

Just get this band in and the power will be fine.

The thing about the early Beatles records is that they were so well made that they will tolerate really bad scuffs and scratches really well. This wide scratch is inaudible.

You might well be right.
But so many great album covers to make up for it.

There's a better box that's part of a large soul collection I'm in the process of valuing.
This is an odd box of dregs. Wow!

I've been looking for that Clarence Frogman Henry single for decades - after watching The Lost Boys. You know the song when Corey's having a bath?

Off to Aberdeen to do doctor work. Dom and Adam run the shop and mostly post on Instagram.
I've taken a small box of mixed singles away to tidy up and price up. A few Sparks and Dylan #vinylsingles

The IKEA kallax is the most popular I've come across. It's versatile and has many size and colour variations. It IS plain and cheaply made, but we all use them. Used ones can be picked up cheaply too. Etsy is a good place for quirky designs.
