My barber Jerry is such a fantastic guy. It's time for my comeback! Looking forward to tomorrow and saying goodbye to yesterday, leaving the past where it belongs.

Doing my best even when my best doesn't feel good enough. Imposter syndrome is a real thing.

$50 for a cut up, hacked up Wii motherboard just so you can print a 3D printed case to stuff it into along with a few batteries and an LCD screen..

Doing a one off is one thing, but making this a business to sell these in volume, I'll never understand.

What do you all think?

My friends, please repost this repair tip!

I see many people servicing Wii systems and they absolutely wreck both the screw covers and bumpers and it makes me cringe. 100C heat for about 8 seconds will make short work of the adhesive, allowing you to re-use them!

Enjoy!

My friends, do you want to know what the #1 killer to Wii hardware is? Dust! Clean those vents and you, too can save a console!
January 18, 2025 at 10:08 PM
My friends, the blurriness of the 2CHIP SNES varies from system to system. The DAC inside PPU2 can have a very wide swing. Just know that my Edge-Enhancer will resolve these issues REGARDLESS of how bad!

No special tricks or sampling. Just the hardware doing its job as designed.

I maintain that @electronshep.bsky.social's ElectronAVE HDMI kit for the Wii is the absolute best Wii HDMI modification. It's both affordable and very intelligently designed to work in all Wii consoles (excluding the shitty Wii Family Edition).

This baby will be for sale, soon!

My friends, please join me on an 60 second NES restoration journey!

This customer sent me a top-loading NES that had much sentimental value to them. I used all of my special tricks to install the NESRGB kit. But I also used some new tricks to revive this dirty, yellowed unit! Happy Monday, PPL!

My friends, I want to leave you with a before and after comparison of the video output coming from an RGB revised 2CHIP SNES that I just serviced.

This is using GENERIC Tink settings -- No optimized sampling, no brightness/gain fixes. I want you to see what my hardware really does all on its own!

Lots of my time is spent reworking SNES hardware that's been repaired in the past. There is plenty of caramelized flux and debris on this system that I must remove before recapping!

Unspent flux typically isn't an issue unless it's organic! A water-based flux MUST be cleaned and removed!

I charge a flat-rate to install the SNES Edge-Enhancer and recap the system, why?

The answer is in these pictures.

Most of the units sent to me require extensive repair from rot. If your SNES is taking a little longer, bear with me! I promise, I'm giving your SNES the BEST care, possible!

My friends, I'm shoveling myself out of the driveway.

Stay safe and warm!

The ice is slippery! Be careful out there and stay warm, friends!

My friends,

Over the past couple of months, I have been perfecting a sunless "RetroBrite" procedure that's heavily based on @aergan.com's vapor method. I want to be confident in the process, with zero marbling or streaking.

This customer was so happy that his SNES is now all the same color!

I almost threw up on cam talking about the N64. . .

My friends, I'm doing my best to catch up with shipping! Currently, I'm repairing an SNES for a customer who had a modder from eBay recap, but they totally screwed it.

Yes, these things hold me up, but your hardware matters to me. I want you to have the best!

My friends..

No exaggeration, but I truly believe that the SVS by Arthrimus is the most important piece of retro gaming tech. It's a dream!

I've just replaced a WMD with this discrete, wall mountable video auto switcher, and it fucking auto loads all of my Tink profiles...

It's important to keep in mind that the 2CHIP can have really good pixel transitions between certain color registers, almost just as good as the 1CHIP.

It's the "slow" transitions that make this shine. Check out this pic! This is what the edge-enhancer addresses!

When I get DMs like this, they make my heart smile. Knowing that I've truly helped you all do something positive is an amazing feeling.

It's been an honor contributing to this community and to each and every one of you, giving back. It means a lot to me, and I thank you all.

Friends, please like and repost this restoration video!

This Saturn controller has 30 years of human gunk and & filth. These units require a meticulous restoration down to every component. No, a Clorox wipe isn't sufficient. Notice how disgusting the water gets in the ultrasonic cleaner? Gross!
