I also pledge to defend MPS. I am a longtime member of the Milwaukee Teachers' Education Association, and I'm proud to say that my union has endorsed me in this election. They support me because they know that I have the experience to stand up to the bureaucracy at MPS and demand better schools.

Furthermore, we have a bold platform that will bring real change for everyday people in Milwaukee: standing with city workers, creating a safer and healthier city, building housing for people over profit, and replacing We Energies with a public utility.

I've been living in Milwaukee since 2011. In that time I've organized with workers, communities, business startups, and co-ops. I've been the president of my union and a leader in my neighborhood. My record speaks for itself.

The election is just a few days away, this Tuesday, April 1st. That means we only have 3 days to bring our message to all the people of District 3.

There's a huge amount of support for this change from working people in Milwaukee. Unfortunately, our mayor and many other government officials are not interested in joining our movement for public power. Alex will use his position on the Common Council to educate them on how we can get this done.

When we elect Alex Brower in the April 1 Common Council election, he will take the first steps to implement Chapter 197 of the Wisconsin State Statutes, which legally allows us to replace We Energies with a public utility.

Cities across Wisconsin and across the country use publicly owned utilities, and they operate very successfully; Americans who use public power pay an average of 15% less on their bills, and they have an average of 50% less outage time.
