It’s a holiday miracle! The new overhead signs on Peachtree Boulevard are being installed. One of the worst offenders - the sign at the PCC exit - is bright, shiny, and most importantly, legible!

After two years of pestering GDOT to replace these signs, this is a great way to end 2024.

Tonight's Peachtree Corners City Council business session (where we receive presentations and debate legislation, but don't usually hold a vote) has a pretty light agenda.

A cold but productive District Service Day today. We teamed up with the City's Stormwater Department to clean a tributary of Crooked Creek off of Green Pointe Parkway in Peachtree Corners. 15 volunteers picked up 20 bags of trash, 61 tires, and 1 sofa. Thanks to all who participated!

The effort to review and update the Simpsonwood Park comprehensive plan, first developed in 2016, has begun. A Citizen Steering Committee with 31 members (including yours truly) met last week to start the year-long review process.

A question I get asked regularly is whether school capacity data is part of residential rezoning applications. The answer is yes - Gwinnett County Public Schools prepares an analysis of estimated additional school-age children who would live in proposed residential projects. 1/3
