And now that we have these LLMs that can shoddily answer most questions immediately, I'm not surprised that most laptops I see open at my uni's library are open to ChatGPT. I think it’s a fundamental issue that a lot of us are scared of the "not knowing" part of the learning process anymore.

So many factors are at play. Could be more of a symptom rather than a cause, but I've been thinking about how we've gotten quite intellectually impatient. We want hot takes and answers right away. I feel like we've grown uncomfortable taking our time to think about stuff.
