I think if my sleeper was able to escape, they'd never be able to survive alone, so they'd probably want to do something to foster community. I think they'd open a cafeteria where anyone struggling could recharge and find a friendly ear, and maybe forge some bonds to help make something better.

Luke Globkin, chef and ex-friend of the Baron, imprisoned for eating his birthday cake. He's game and good-natured but a coward. After an early drop into the oub(liette), he's made it so far through luck - offered a 2nd chance via lichdom. Hopes to survive to make and sample lichy cakes.

Globkin thinks to himself, "I guess this is what is meant by showtime" and joins the line with a vaguely chef-inspired dance. He's new to this lich thing after all. He eyes this Baron and tries to remember if their face matches his old friend's.

The cowardly Globkin, when faced with the flames, swiftly abandons his vows of letting go. He yelps "showtime!" and will cling to whatever semblance of life (or undeath) is available to him. Become a lich!

Globkin hears the voice and thinks what he regrets most - eating the birthday cake of his old friend, the Baron. He’s stolen the first bite of so many cakes. He takes the voice’s advice: apologizes aloud, vows to change, and simply hopes that whatever that voice was shows him mercy here in the oub.

ACTION - I'll join in trying to communicate with the adjacent cell. If need be I will hope that the stuffy nose caused by my incessant cold buys me a few seconds longer before I succumb to the gas and I'll just start trying random card combinations.
