A person not even part of our government stood on a stage and gave a Nazi salute. When we called it out, they tried to gaslight us, insisting it wasn’t what we saw. Meanwhile, white supremacists celebrated, saying, “Hell yeah, we’re back.” That’s not normal.

Passports are now restricted to only “male” or “female.” To my trans friends: your existence and validity are not dictated by any executive order. I see you. You matter.

The CDC can no longer release critical public health information without clearance from the President. This is dangerous. This is not normal.

A bishop who pleaded for kindness and civility was publicly excoriated by Republican leaders, many of whom were once considered moderate. That’s not normal.

The media is being manipulated. Social media is being tightly controlled. TikTok went down, and when it came back, it felt like something out of the uncanny valley. Google searches last night for the list of U.S. presidents excluded Joe Biden. We have the receipts.

Federal DEI employees are being laid off en masse. Worse, federal workers still in their jobs are being told they must report DEI employees “hiding” in their agencies or face serious consequences.

The Equal Employment Order—the backbone of how the EEOC operates—has been revoked.
