The answer to the question of "how many collard green plants do I need for my family of five in Minnesota who have strong southern roots?" definitely less than 10. We have eaten tons all summer, and in cutting the most tender leaves here in late October, I still have more than enough to freeze.🌱

Cool weather here in Minnesota, time to tidy up the garden. What started as all this Swiss chard got washed, blanched, and compressed down to 4 1lb frozen blocks, and the peppers are now a half cup of paprika. 🌱

Takeaways from this year's garden: Jimmy Nardello peppers are now my favorite sweet pepper, and Choggia are my new favorite beets. I am also now in love with tatsoi and mitzuna for super productive early greens. What do people have as new things you grew this year that turned out well?
