After the public votes were tallied today, a $1,000 grant was awarded to Maya Doss to support the Maya Doss Art Print Club, a new subscription program for her art. This funding will help cover the up-front costs of creating art, packaging individual pieces, and shipping to subscribers.

We're happy to announce the awarding of $1,000 to support Pressing Matters, new a series of local workshops to children and adults about the art of Gelli printing, an accessible monoprinting technique that requires no press and produces vibrant, unique prints.

Congratulations to our May funding recipients! Braiden Robinson will be receiving a loan of $500 to help start a jewelry-making business, and another $500 will go to Jonathon Bennett to help cover the cost of recording guest vocals on his upcoming album, titled Righteous Gemstones 2.

The Ball Brothers Foundation has generously given the VAF a rapid grant to cover our operating expenses and funding cycles for the rest of 2025! Thanks to their support, we'll be accepting applications without interruption for the rest of the year and awarding loans every odd-numbered month!
