As Congress approaches a potential shutdown and worries about health care stall progress, survey data show bipartisan majorities support extending the current ACA subsidies for health insurance. Nationally, 67% favor extension, including majorities of both Ds and Rs.

When Northeastern Ohioans from both parties sat down to deliberate federal budget priorities, consensus was clear: majorities endorsed higher income taxes on income above $100k by rolling back the 2017 tax cuts.

Bipartisan majorities in Ohio’s 7th and 13th districts support two new taxes which would raise over $200B in revenue: a tax on wealth over $50M and a tax on stock/bond trades. These results were revealed at our recent civic forum with BraverAngels.

79% of Americans favor requiring AI programs to pass a government test, to prevent discrimination and law-breaking, before they can be put into use, including 84% of Republicans and 81% of Democrats. Support is essentially unchanged since 2024 (81%).
