People say this stuff every year when they go through a slump. The Dodgers just got swept by the Angels, I guarantee you some of their fans were saying the same sort of thing.

I think this is an overreaction. The team stunk when Alvarez got hurt last year. Every team goes through slumps, don't think this is anything more than that

I don't think he's great, but I also think there's a good chance he's better than a rookie QB that was probably overrated in the draft process

There's different goals for each. Rodgers is going to be there one year, and is so they can field a competitive team. A rookie QB is expected to develop and not necessarily be at his best his first year. There's a good chance 2025 Rodgers is better than 2025 Shadeur but worse than 26-28 Shedeur

To be clear I'm not a steelers fan. I wouldn't get Rodgers either and agree he's a huge distraction and not very good, but you're talking about 1 year vs 4
