The third Landwehr battalion available for active duty to von Peter himself. The 2 battalion of the 4th East Prussian Landwehr Infantry Regiment. The fourth battalion languishes in the "to be pigmented" pile. Oh the shame! 🫣

A unit to be proud of.

And ... hey, I have one of those. An 1813 version after careful watering, feeding and nurturing in the sunshine! 🤣

Later Napoleonic Prussian 1/4 Reserve Infantry resplendent in their British supplied uniforms excepting the officers in their regular uniforms. There should not be a flag but this one issued from their "parent" regiment the 4th Infantry Regiment (3rd East Prussian).

Time for a little more Napoleonic Polish remembrancing. This time it's the first battalion of the 2nd Infantry Regiment. Or at least how I use them. The second battalion is currently being formed.

Prussian 12 pounder Battery Nr.4, 1813 style with an uhlan officer popping by. Administratively 12 pdr battery Nr.4 was part of the Prussian Artillery Brigade and as such wore white shoulder straps in 1813.

Generalmajor Vuich commands the Russian 24th Division for mostly 1813 gaming. As such he has been allocated a square coaster as a base with a little more real estate than his underling brigadiers. Front Rank Figurines.

The 3/4th East Prussian Landwehr Infantry Regiment is posed as a shot up firing line. The idea for this battalion came about due to Calpe's extended landwehr range including several casualty figures. In fact so many different casualty figures that not all of them could be utilised in the battalion!

Huge strides of a later Napoleonic nature. 🤔 A casualty marker for the French 3/132nd Ligne watched closely by the skirmishing stand of the Saxon 1/Prinz Maximilian Infantry Regiment. Why they are atop a Roman watch tower is a fine topic for extended discussion down the pub! Calpe Miniatures.

Two views of the Polish General de brigade Zoltowski. He's currently employed on the tabletop where one of his battalions got caught in line by Russian cavalry and despite the odds threw back said cavalry. Mutter mutter!! 🤬

I'm not what you'd call a fast painter. But I have recently finished some Napoleonic figures to aid with the gaming, e.g. these racing/galloping Prussian Feldjaegers from Calpe Miniatures.

Today's remembrance focusses on Prussians of the Seven Years War variety. The musketeers of Infantry Regiment 19 Markgraf Karl backed up by the fusiliers of IR 42 Markgraf Heinrich. Other bits and pieces from other regiments hovering in the edges of the image.

Later Napoleonic Prussian cavalry of the 2nd Pommeranian Landwehr Cavalry Regiment variety. I really like the posing of the officer in the front rank. Calpe Miniatures.

Later Napoleonic Saxon artillery this time. Locally this represents the 1st Saxon Foot battery (6pdr) "Dietrich" of 1813.

An Austrian 12pdr position battery to bring some weight to my Austrian army.
For some undoubtedly suspect reason I decided that all my 12 pdr batteries would be accompanied by a mounted officer. If nothing else it is an indicator/reminder on the table top.
