Well yeah, that’s because the last movie Michael Wincott was in came out six years ago. He elevates everything he touches. (And yes, myriad of other reasons make Nope slap, but I was beside myself when Michael Wincott came into the picture).

Totally. This was kind of their last hurrah. Kilmer went on to star in a few other big pictures like Kiss Kiss, Bang Bang, but he definitely didn’t have the same cache he had in the 90’s. Shue was just a few years away from being a 40 year old woman in Hollywood, so her days were sadly numbered too.

1997’s The Saint. Totally watchable and it’s a type of mid-tier action thriller that goes straight to streaming these days. Its legacy is overshadowed by (better) movies like Ronin, Goldeneye, and Mission Impossible. Still worth checking out!
