Got tired of the guardian long ago. Some years from now when bigotry fails, there will be so many changes of heart and pretending not to have been so cruel (just like with gay men in the 80s). It’s hard now to stand against it because they try to finish you. Ive had some awful comments online

Yes I was thinking about this, people think they are ‘fighting’ and championing rights (JKR and her hangers on) but literally they are platformed and supported by the establishment so it makes no sense.

I emailed my MP she supports the decision. She did say she’d had a lot of correspondence so I think it’s important that both sides are heard. I imagine only people who feel very strongly either way are contacting them

When I post about it on Facebook I get about two people interacting (the parents of trans kids). I post a picture of my dog and they are all there. It's a long uphill battle I think.

My husband used to subscribe to the economist and one day he said he was cancelling it because it was so weirdly and obviously anti trans. I discovered the editor at the time was Helen Joyce. A shame because it had been a good publication that we weren’t buying for someone’s social agenda
