I've been saying this for over a decade. I honestly believe it would be more profitable for the devs in the long run too but shareholders are literally incapable of seeing ahead more than a quarter at a time

I only care about game reviews from specific reviewers who I care about. (mostly my friends tbh) there is no consistency from larger conglomerates like Kotaku or Polygon or PcGamer or IGN or etc. If I don't know what the reviewer likes/dislikes whats the point right?
